I don't exactly agree with this, all you have to do is look at Bear Bryant, General Neyland, Bo Schembechler and Woody Hayes. None of which went to the NFL but are still icon's in coaching.

Pete Carroll knows he doesn't have to go to the NFL to prove anything. I don't see him leaving LA and everything he has there to go to ATL. </div></div>


Honistly Bryant and Hayes are the only 2 ICONS there and while USC is on a heck of a run there is no way that they pick up the number of titals that Bryant or Hayes were able to do.

I am not sure that Carroll leaves USC for Atlanta but if the right job opened up I bet he would bases on wanting to be remembered as a Great Coach and not just a Great Collage Coach
